The Lakes is a gated residential community within Emirates Living in Dubai, set between two of the city’s landmark golf courses and a short drive from Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah. Designed as a low‑density, family‑oriented neighborhood, it is arranged around landscaped lakes, parks and tree‑lined streets that create a calm suburban feel.

Homes here are primarily freehold villas with some townhouses, generally ranging from three to seven bedrooms. Properties are typically double or triple storey with modern architectural styles, private gardens and covered parking. The master development is divided into six sub‑communities—Hattan, Deema, Maeen, Zulal, Forat and Ghadeer—each with its own internal parks and shared facilities while remaining connected by pedestrian walkways.

Lifestyle in The Lakes centers on outdoor space and community amenities. Residents have access to multiple communal pools, children’s play areas, BBQ spots, basketball and football courts, and tennis and squash facilities. The Lakes Club serves as the community hub with a large gym, fitness studios, pools (including a children’s pool), sports courts, a daycare facility and convenience retail. Jogging and cycling tracks follow the waterfront and green corridors, and the neighboring golf clubs and racecourse add to the area’s leisure appeal.

Connectivity is straightforward. First Al Khail Street links The Lakes to Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and Al Khail Road (E44), putting key employment centers in Dubai Media City, Internet City and Jumeirah Lake Towers within easy reach. By car, Dubai Marina is roughly 10 minutes away, with wider city access via E11 and E44. Public transport users have nearby bus stops serving the community and metro access via stations in Barsha Heights and Dubai Marina within a short drive.

Everyday needs are well covered. A community supermarket and additional grocery options in adjacent neighborhoods are close by, along with pharmacies, salons and fitness facilities. Families benefit from proximity to established nurseries and international schools in Emirates Living and The Greens, as well as clinics and hospitals in the wider area. Overall, The Lakes offers a mature, green setting with strong amenities and road access, appealing to those seeking a quieter residential environment near major business districts.
